Systems Integration Trials Lead

Based in Bristol

Salary up to £57,000 + Bonus, Overtime, Pension

This is an opportunity to lead and deliver integration trials on a complex defence system, working at the point where hardware, software and systems come together. You'll be planning and executing integration trials, leading test activities, investigating issues and helping prove that a highly capable system performs exactly as intended.

You'll work with systems engineers, design teams, customers and external test organisations, taking ownership of critical integration and qualification activities that directly influence programme success.

What you'll be doing

Planning and delivering ground integration trials

Leading integration test activities and small trial teams

*

Producing test documentation and trial reports

*

Managing requirement traceability and requirement coverage

*

Supporting system verification and validation activities

*

Working closely with systems engineering and design teams

*

Investigating integration issues and driving root cause analysis

*

Managing configuration control of hardware and software assets

*

Coordinating activities with customers, partner organisations and external test facilities

*

Supporting qualification testing and evidence generation

To be considered, you'll ideally have experience in most of the following:

Systems integration or integration testing within a complex engineering environment

*

Planning or conducting integration trials, qualification testing or proving activities

*

Configuration management and defect reporting

* Previous experience in some or all of the following: Trundle, EMC, Interoperability and Thermal trials;

Producing technical reports and communicating findings to stakeholders

This role would suit an Integration Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer, Systems Test Engineer, Verification Engineer, Validation Engineer or Trials Engineer looking to progress their career, while working on complex defence systems where integration, testing and qualification are central to programme delivery
