How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assembly Technician | Witney, Oxfordshire | £30,000 - £33,000

    An innovative engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an Assembly Technician to join its growing production team. As the business continues to expand, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative manufacturing environment where quality, innovation, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for assembling precision mechanical products and sub-assemblies while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and productivity are maintained. You'll play an important role in delivering products to customers on time while contributing to ongoing process improvements within the manufacturing team.

    Key Responsibilities

    +Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies into finished products.
    +Operate production equipment and material handling equipment safely.
    +Perform basic product testing, inspections, and quality checks.
    +Identify and report equipment faults or production issues.
    +Maintain clean, organised, and safe working areas.
    +Ensure components are assembled to the required specifications and tolerances.

    What We're Looking For

    +Previous experience within a mechanical manufacturing or assembly environment.
    +Experience assembling mechanical products using fasteners, adhesives, or bonding techniques.
    +A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ or equivalent) or relevant hands-on industry experience.
    +GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
