How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Line Engineer

    Nottingham
    3-Shift
    £43,500 + Excellent OT Rates & Pension

    Responsibilities - Production Line Engineer

    Ensure production lines achieve hourly output and performance targets.
    Set up, operate and optimise manufacturing equipment to maximise efficiency.
    Act as the first point of response for breakdowns and technical issues.
    Diagnose faults and carry out effective root cause analysis.
    Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
    Conduct condition-based maintenance (CBM) to reduce downtime.
    Lead troubleshooting activities across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
    Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
    Support operational excellence, quality, safety and performance objectives.
    Work closely with engineering and production teams to deliver manufacturing targets.
    Experience / Qualifications - Production Line Engineer

    Level 3 Engineering, Maintenance or Mechanical qualification (or equivalent experience).
    Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in a manufacturing, production, process, FMCG, pharmaceutical or industrial environment.
    Ability to fault-find and repair mechanical, electrical or pneumatic equipment.
    Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
    Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to react to breakdowns while managing planned maintenance activities.
    Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to reliability and performance.
