How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As Project Director you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, oversee programme delivery, and ensure commercial and contractual objectives are achieved.

You'll play a key role in developing long-term client partnerships, driving operational excellence, and mentoring junior team members.

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
Manage project planning, programming, and resource allocation.
Coordinate site teams and specialist subcontractors to achieve programme milestones.
Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice.
Work closely with the commercial team to manage project costs, value, procurement, and financial reporting.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Chair project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.
Support the development of junior members of the project team through coaching and mentoring. Experience Required
Proven experience as a Project Director within the construction industry.
Previous Tier 1 contractor experience delivering projects valued at £50m+.
Strong understanding of MEP coordination and delivery.
Excellent knowledge of Design & Build procurement and project delivery.
Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
Strong commercial awareness, including cost/value reporting and procurement processes. Qualifications
Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or a related discipline.
Membership of a recognised professional body such as CIOB, RICS, MICE, or equivalent.
    SMSTS (essential).
    First Aid at Work qualification.
    RAMS experience (essential).
PMP, APM or equivalent project management qualification would be advantageous. What's on Offer
Opportunity to work on landmark projects within highly regulated sectors.
