How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Lead, develop, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and support.
Promote positive outcomes for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance.
Manage staffing, budgets, occupancy, and resources efficiently.
Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families, and external stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain a positive, child-centred culture throughout the home.
    Essential Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Previous experience managing a large children's residential home (3-bed or larger) or a dual-registered residential service.
Significant leadership experience within children's residential care.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children's residential legislation.
Demonstrable experience managing budgets, staffing, compliance, and service performance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
    Full UK driving licence.

Please note: This opportunity is not suitable for a first-time Registered Manager or someone seeking their first registration.

    £80,000 annual salary
10% annual performance bonus for achieving agreed budget performance (operating below budget)
10% annual performance bonus for achieving agreed occupancy targets
Total earning potential of up to £96,000 per annum
    Benefits

    Pension scheme
Ongoing professional development and funded training
    Career progression opportunities
    Supportive senior leadership team
