How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEND Teacher
    Location: Washwood Heath, Birmingham B8
    Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS) + SEN Allowance TBC
    Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
    Start Date: 01/09/2026
    Contract: Long-term temporary (expected to be at least an academic year)

    Are you an experienced and nurturing teacher with strong EYFS practice looking to make a genuine difference? Long Term Futures are recruiting a SEND Teacher to lead a specialist Lower KS2 resource base supporting up to 17 pupils with EHCPs for Cognition & Learning and SEMH needs.

    Although pupils are in Years 3 and 4, they are working at approximately Reception to Year 1 level. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a teacher who excels in continuous provision, personalised learning, and positive behaviour management.

    Responsibilities:

    Delivering engaging, individualised learning programmes for up to 17 pupils.
    Creating a nurturing, structured classroom using EYFS-inspired continuous provision.
    Supporting pupils with Cognition & Learning and SEMH needs.
    Working closely with a full-time Teaching Assistant and the SENDCo, who is based within the provision.
    Monitoring progress and adapting learning to meet individual EHCP outcomes.What We're Looking For:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Has strong EYFS or Reception teaching experience.
    Is confident delivering highly personalised learning.
    Has excellent behaviour management and SEN experience, particularly with Cognition & Learning and/or SEMH.Why Apply?
