How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CSA Supervisor

Camberley | Data Centre Refurbishment | Freelance

    £300 - £350 per day

This is a role for a CSA Supervisor who knows how to keep trades moving properly on a live data centre project.

You will be working on a data centre refurbishment involving existing space upgrades, plant improvements and minor expansion works. The CSA work will sit directly around the M&E delivery, so this is not a role where you can just look after finishes in isolation. Every opening, penetration, fire stop, plinth, access route, partition, door and support has an impact on mechanical, electrical, commissioning and handover.

The project needs someone site-based, organised and comfortable working under a CSA Construction Manager or Project Manager, helping drive subcontractors, maintain quality and keep the workface moving.

This would suit a CSA Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Supervisor, Works Supervisor or trade supervisor who has worked on data centres, commercial refurbishment, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, infrastructure or other services-heavy projects.

    What you’ll be doing

You will supervise day-to-day CSA works across a live data centre refurbishment project.

You will help coordinate subcontractors across builders work, structural openings, penetrations, fire stopping, risers, plinths, supports, blockwork, drylining, partitions, doors, access panels, raised floors, ceilings, finishes, external works and making good.

You will work closely with the CSA Construction Manager, M&E teams, engineers, supervisors, QA teams, logistics teams and subcontractors.

You will walk the site daily, check progress, identify blockers and make sure subcontractors have the drawings, access, permits, materials and information needed to keep moving.

You will help manage works around existing plant areas, live services, access routes, temporary works, logistics restrictions and ongoing M&E installation.

You will support short-term lookaheads, labour coordination, RAMS, permits, deliveries, access constraints and daily activity planning.

You will make sure builders work openings, penetrations, fire stopping, access panels, plant bases, supports and structural interfaces are completed to the right standard.

You will help keep control of QA records, inspections, snagging, Field View or similar site records, redline information and close-out items.

You will support client walks, package reviews, subcontractor coordination and snag close-out.

You will make sure safety, housekeeping, quality and programme standards are maintained across your areas.

    What you’ll need

You will need experience as a CSA Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Supervisor, Works Supervisor or trade supervisor on construction projects.

Experience in data centres would be ideal, but commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, education or live refurbishment experience would also be relevant.

You should understand builders work, penetrations, fire stopping, access routes, plant bases, risers, partitions, doors, raised floors, ceilings, finishes and making good.

You will need to be comfortable working around M&E teams, especially where CSA works affect service routes, containment, plant access, commissioning, fire strategy or handover.

You should be confident reading drawings, checking work on site, raising issues early and pushing subcontractors to close out works properly.

You will need good communication skills and the ability to deal with subcontractors, supervisors, engineers and managers in a busy site environment.

SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid would be expected.

Temporary Works Supervisor would be beneficial, particularly where the project involves temporary openings, access, scaffolding, protection works, plant movement or lifting interfaces.

Experience with Field View, Dalux, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, Asite, Bluebeam or similar site systems would be useful.

    Why this role

This is a good opportunity to get onto a live data centre project without needing to already be a full CSA Construction Manager.

You will be working in a technical environment where CSA works need to be properly coordinated around M&E installation, plant upgrades and commissioning. That gives you stronger exposure than a standard commercial refurbishment or general building project.

For someone with good site experience who wants to build data centre experience and work closely with a senior delivery team, this is a strong move.
