How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Us

    We are a long-established, independent estate agency based in Aberystwyth with a growing lettings portfolio of around 75 managed properties. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional service to landlords and tenants and are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and customer-focused person to join our friendly team.

    The Role

    This is a varied and rewarding role where you will become the main point of contact for our lettings department, building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Managing a portfolio of residential rental properties.
    Liaising with landlords and tenants by telephone, email and in person.
    Organising repairs and maintenance with contractors.
    Arranging property inspections and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
    Preparing tenancy documentation and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
    Coordinating property marketing and new tenancy applications.
    Working closely with the sales and administration teams to provide excellent customer service.
    Identifying opportunities to grow the lettings portfolio and earn commission.About You

    You will:

    Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
    Have outstanding customer service and communication skills.
    Be confident using computers and office software.
    Be able to prioritise a busy workload and work on your own initiative.
    Hold a full UK driving licence.
    Have experience in property, customer service, banking, legal or office administration (property experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate).What We Offer
