How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Ensuring documents are accurately filed, updated and easily accessible.

    * Supporting the wider project and site teams with document control and administrative requirements.

    * Coordinating information between the office, site teams and relevant stakeholders.

    * Assisting with the management and distribution of project documentation.

    * Ensuring documentation is maintained accurately and in line with company procedures.

    * Carrying out regular site visits to support document control requirements across live projects.

    * Providing general administrative and project support where required.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with strong communication and IT skills.

    Previous experience as a Document Controller is not essential. We would also welcome applications from candidates who have worked in:

    * Construction Administration

    * Project Administration

    * Office Administration

    * Other organised office-based positions

    You will need:

    * Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills.

    * Strong IT and communication skills.

    * The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

    * A proactive approach and willingness to learn.

    * A full UK driving licence, due to the requirement for regular site visits.

    * A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the construction industry.

    The Opportunity

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-established family-run business and develop your career within its Earthworks Division.

    For the right individual, the company can offer the opportunity to develop their skills, gain valuable construction experience and progress within the business over the long term
