Are you an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy combining technical expertise with leadership and strategic asset management?
We're looking for a Senior Stock Condition Surveyor to lead our stock condition survey programme, manage and develop a team of surveyors, and play a key role in shaping investment decisions across our housing portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and fit for the future whilst helping drive data-led asset management strategies.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading and delivering stock condition surveys across a varied property portfolio. Managing and supporting a team of surveyors, ensuring high standards and continuous development. Driving quality assurance processes to maintain accurate and reliable asset data. Undertaking EPC and HHSRS assessments and providing specialist building pathology advice. Producing technical reports, specifications and schedules of work. Supporting investment planning, compliance programmes and asset management initiatives. Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and CDM regulations. Building strong relationships with customers, contractors and stakeholders to deliver excellent outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Essential Degree in Building Surveying,
- Construction or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification.
- HHSRS qualification.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance and defect diagnosis.
- Significant experience in stock condition surveying and asset management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Professional membership with RICS, CIOB or equivalent.
- Experience of PAS 2035 and retrofit programmes.
- P405 Asbestos Management qualification.
- SMSTS or NEBOSH qualification.
- Knowledge of Party Wall matters.
