How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Area Sales Manager

    London, M25 & Home Counties (Including Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas)

    £45,000 - £55,000 DOE + Bonus + Car Allowance + Pension + Life Assurance + 33 Days Holiday + Additional Benefits

    Are you an experienced Sales Manager with a background in construction, manufacturing or engineering, looking for the opportunity to drive business growth with an established UK business?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a well-established territory, developing long-term relationships with customers while identifying new commercial opportunities.     The business is a long-established UK manufacturer, supplying high-quality engineered solutions into a range of construction and industrial markets.     In this role, you'll develop and deliver strategic sales plans, build a strong pipeline of new business, grow existing customer accounts and represent the business across your region. Working closely with internal teams, you'll help ensure an excellent customer experience while contributing to the company's ongoing commercial success.

    This position would suit a commercially driven Sales Manager with experience within manufacturing, engineering or construction, looking to join a stable and growing organisation where initiative, autonomy and results are recognised and rewarded.

    The Role

    Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
    Generate new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships
    Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems and accurate forecasting

    Previous experience in a Sales Manager or Business Development role within manufacturing, engineering or construction
    Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to win and develop profitable business
    Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
