Key Responsibilities:
Site-based duties will include:
Conducting intrusive ground investigations, including boreholes and trial pits to determine ground conditions
Recovering samples for laboratory geotechnical testing and ground contamination screening
Undertaking soakaway testing
Office-based duties will include:
Producing Phase 1 Desk Top Studies
Creating Coal Mining Risk Assessments
Writing Phase 2 Ground Investigation Reports, including ground contamination risk assessments
Preparing Remediation Strategies
Compiling Validation Reports
Drawing up and presenting site data, such as borehole and trial pit logs
Scheduling laboratory testing of recovered samples
Job Requirements:
Experience in a geo-environmental, contaminated land, or ground investigation role
Comfortable working on site and contributing to technical reporting
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail for reporting deliverables
