£40,000 + per annum + overtime

Hours:

Full-time – Day, Night, and Weekend shifts available

Bolt Technical are working with a leading advanced manufacturing business supplying high-precision components to motorsport, aerospace, defence, and high-performance engineering sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CNC 5 Axis Machinist to join a busy and well-invested machine shop, working on complex, tight-tolerance components in a high-quality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate CNC machines with a strong focus on 5-axis machining

* Work from existing CNC programs, reviewing and verifying them prior to production

* Communicate any issues or required improvements with programming or engineering teams

* Produce complex, high-precision components including moulds, inserts, fixtures, and composite-related parts

* Ensure machining processes run efficiently and accurately

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

* Inspect machined components to ensure they meet quality and tolerance requirements

* Carry out routine machine maintenance and checks

* Follow SOPs and quality procedures consistently

* Troubleshoot machining issues as they arise

* Maintain accurate production and tooling records

* Adhere to all health & safety requirements

* Support the wider production team as required

What They’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with strong 5-axis machining expertise

* Solid experience in machine setup and operation within a precision engineering environment

* Ability to read, understand, and verify CNC programs

* Good understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials

* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment

* Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset

* Flexible approach to shift work and overtime
