How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting talented and enthusiastic STEM Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools from September 2026.

    We are looking for teachers across Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, with opportunities available for experienced teachers, ECTs and teachers looking for flexible supply work.

    Whether you're looking for a long-term position, day-to-day supply or the opportunity to find your next permanent role, we have schools looking for STEM specialists.

    ElectronicsAs a STEM Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire pupils and develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.

    Responsibilities may include:

    Planning and delivering engaging STEM lessons
    Teaching across KS3 and/or KS4
    Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations where applicable
    Differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs
    Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
    Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
    Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
    Using practical and innovative approaches to bring STEM subjects to life
    Contributing to departmental planning and wider school activities
    Following school policies and safeguarding proceduresWe are keen to hear from teachers who have:

    QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
    Experience teaching within a secondary school
    Strong subject knowledge within a STEM discipline
    Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
    The ability to engage and inspire young people
    A flexible and adaptable approach
    Strong communication and organisational skills
