A specialist secondary provision in East Grinstead is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher to support students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), Autism (ASC), ADHD, anxiety, and associated learning difficulties.

About the Role
Working with small class groups, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Students may be working at different academic levels and require additional support to overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.
The role offers flexibility for teachers from a variety of subject backgrounds, with opportunities to teach across different curriculum areas depending on experience and school needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver creative and engaging lessons to secondary-aged students
Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning and emotional needs
Support pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and other SEND requirements
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Encourage student engagement, confidence, and self-esteem
Support behaviour for learning through relationship-based approaches
Monitor progress and contribute to individual learning and support plans
Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams, therapists, and families
Promote positive outcomes both inside and outside of the classroom
About You
We would love to hear from teachers who:
Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience working with secondary-aged students
Are passionate about inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
Can build strong relationships with young people who may have experienced challenges in education
Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
Are resilient, flexible, and committed to helping every student succeed
Have experience within SEN, SEND, SEMH, alternative provision, or mainstream settings
