How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Company Description

Informed Engineering consultancy focused on delivering high-quality data and information for major construction and infrastructure projects. The company designs and implements efficient, value-driven processes to support contractors, asset owners, and end users throughout the project lifecycle. Informed Engineering is a specialist in bespoke Common Data Environment solutions, particularly using Bentley ProjectWise, Bentley CAD software, and Synchro scheduling tools. The team regularly supports clients with standards compliance, including PAS 1192 and ISO 19650, and has a strong track record in IFC and COBie delivery for large UK infrastructure projects. Continuous training and multiple software capabilities help the company stay current with evolving industry requirements.

    Role Description

The P6 Planner is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Midlands, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules in Primavera P6 for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring that timelines, dependencies, and milestones are accurately captured. The P6 Planner will work closely with project managers, engineers, and BIM/Information Management teams to integrate scheduling data with project information models and reporting tools. Typical tasks include progress tracking, critical path analysis, resource and cost loading, scenario planning, and preparing clear schedule reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders. The planner will also support process optimisation, contribute to schedule-related risk assessments, and help drive standardised planning best practices across projects.

    Qualifications

    • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 for schedule development, maintenance, critical path analysis, and reporting.
    • Experience in construction or infrastructure project planning, including understanding of project lifecycle, work breakdown structures, and resource and cost loading.
    • Familiarity with BIM and Information Management concepts, Common Data Environments, and standards such as PAS 1192 and ISO 19650 (Bentley ProjectWise experience is an advantage).
    • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from the Midlands, manage time efficiently, and maintain high attention to detail.
    • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
    • Professional planning or project management certifications (e.g., APM, PMI, or similar) are beneficial.
