We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Lecturer to join a further education college on a full-time, temporary basis starting at the end of August.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with teaching and/or industry experience to inspire the next generation of electricians. You will teach students across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and play an active role in supporting the continued growth and development of the Electrical Installation department.
The Role
As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons to learners of varying abilities, helping them develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in the electrical industry. You will work closely with the Curriculum Manager to ensure students receive a high-quality learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Electrical Installation teaching to learners from Level 1 to Level 3.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging classroom and practical workshop sessions.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support learners to achieve their academic and practical goals.
- Maintain accurate student records and complete all required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the Curriculum Manager to support the growth and development of the department.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Ensure teaching meets awarding body and college quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching Electrical Installation and/or relevant industry experience.
- Qualified Further Education teacher, or willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
- Strong communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
- Passion for developing learners and supporting student achievement.
- Right to work in the UK.
