How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Personal Assistant to the CEO

    Location: Manchester (Head Office) with occasional travel to LIVINGWAY developments

    Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

    Hours: Full Time

    As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an organised, proactive and highly professional Personal Assistant to support our CEO. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety and wants to play an important role within a growing business.


    The Role

    As Personal Assistant to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring the CEO's time is effectively managed and that both business and personal commitments run seamlessly.

    You will become the central point of coordination for the CEO, providing exceptional organisational support while maintaining complete confidentiality and professionalism.

    No two days will be the same. One day you may be coordinating meetings with investors, the next arranging travel, preparing board papers, organising events or ensuring actions from leadership meetings are completed.

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being one step ahead, solving problems before they arise and helping senior leaders operate at their best.


     

     Key Responsibilities (not limited to)


    Executive Support

    • Manage the CEO's complex diary, ensuring priorities are effectively balanced.
    • Coordinate internal and external meetings.
    • Arrange travel, accommodation and itineraries.
    • Prepare meeting agendas and supporting documentation.
    • Take minutes where required and monitor completion of agreed actions.
    • Screen telephone calls and correspondence.
    • Draft professional emails, letters and business documents.
    • Manage confidential information with absolute discretion.


    Administrative Support

    • Organise electronic filing systems and documentation.
    • Prepare reports, presentations and meeting packs.
    • Process expenses and maintain business records.
    • Coordinate document signing and approvals.
    • Assist with general office administration as required.


    Business Coordination

    • Liaise with senior managers across the business.
    • Monitor project deadlines and follow up outstanding actions.
    • Coordinate leadership meetings and board meetings.
    • Support recruitment administration where required.
    • Assist with event planning and company initiatives.
    • Conduct research and prepare briefing notes.


    Personal Assistance

    • Manage personal appointments and diary commitments.
    • Organise personal travel and reservations.
    • Coordinate family and personal administration where appropriate.
    • Manage reminders for important dates and commitments.
    • Support with occasional personal errands.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, or senior administrator.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience managing complex diaries.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Full UK driving licence (desirable).
