Role Description The Rigging Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hartlepool. The instructor will deliver practical and classroom-based rigging training to learners from engineering and construction sectors, ensuring content aligns with relevant standards and accreditation requirements. Day-to-day tasks include planning and preparing lessons, delivering training sessions, assessing learner performance, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves maintaining training materials and equipment, keeping accurate records of learner progress, and contributing to course development and continuous improvement. The instructor will work closely with colleagues and clients to ensure training meets industry needs and promotes safe working practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Teaching and Training skills, with experience delivering technical or vocational courses.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Education methodologies to structure effective and engaging sessions.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex rigging concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Relevant industry experience in rigging or lifting operations, preferably within engineering or construction environments.
- Recognized rigging or lifting qualifications; assessor or instructor certifications are highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and best practices related to rigging and lifting operations.
- Ability to assess competence objectively, maintain accurate documentation, and follow accreditation standards.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to learner support, inclusivity, and safe training delivery.
