How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a leading live entertainment business with an extensive portfolio of iconic venues across the UK. They are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and shape their procurement function, driving a commercially focused strategy across a complex, multi-site operation.

Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you'll take ownership of procurement across a diverse spend portfolio, delivering value, strengthening supplier partnerships and embedding best practice across the business. The role has a particular focus on Food & Beverage procurement, while also overseeing a wider Goods Not for Resale (GNFR) portfolio, supporting commercial performance and operational excellence across more than 30 venues nationwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to make a tangible impact within a high-profile, customer-focused organisation.

    The Role

Leading the Procurement function, you'll develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with the organisation's commercial objectives while driving continuous improvement across procurement processes, governance and supplier performance.

You'll oversee procurement across several key categories including:

    • Food & Beverage
    • Goods Not for Resale (GNFR)
    • Corporate Services
    • Facilities Management
    • Property-related spend

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Property, Facilities and Hospitality, you'll ensure procurement supports both commercial growth and operational delivery.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing and delivering a group-wide procurement strategy.
    • Leading and developing the procurement function, embedding best practice and continuous improvement.
    • Managing strategic sourcing, category management and supplier selection across multiple spend areas.
    • Leading competitive tender processes, commercial negotiations and end-to-end contract management.
    • Delivering annual cost-saving and value creation targets through effective procurement strategies.
    • Building long-term supplier partnerships while implementing robust supplier performance frameworks and KPIs.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, resilience and sustainability.
    • Ensuring strong procurement governance, compliance and risk management across all third-party spend.
    • Driving improvements in procurement systems, reporting, spend analytics and process standardisation.
    • Acting as a trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

    About You

We're looking for a commercially focused procurement professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering strategic procurement initiatives within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

    You'll be able to demonstrate:

    • Significant experience in strategic procurement, sourcing and category management.
    • A strong record of delivering measurable commercial savings and procurement transformation.
    • Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.
    • Experience managing multiple procurement categories within a complex organisation.
    • Strong supplier relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business-wide change.
    • Experience leading procurement teams, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and problem-solving skills.
    • A collaborative leadership style with experience developing high-performing teams.

    Experience & Qualifications

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience within hospitality, food & beverage, restaurants, retail, leisure or other customer-facing multi-site organisations. Experience leading Food & Beverage procurement is highly desirable, alongside exposure to broader GNFR procurement.

You'll ideally hold a CIPS Level 4 qualification or above (or equivalent), with MCIPS considered advantageous. A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline would also be beneficial.
