How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced HR Assistant or Advisor to deliver a comprehensive, generalist HR service across a dynamic multi-site organisation. This role partners closely with managers and employees, providing pragmatic, solutions-focused advice across the full employee lifecycle.

You’ll play a key role in supporting operational teams, ensuring consistent HR practices, and helping drive a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

    The Role

    • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide HR support across a designated site
    • Provide expert HR advice on employee relations, performance, and absence
    • Support investigations, meetings, and HR casework
    • Deliver end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes

    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
    • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership of workload
    • Commitment to continuous professional development

This is not a role where you'll be limited to one area of HR. You'll gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle, partner with a range of stakeholders, and be involved in day-to-day operational HR challenges. It's a demanding but highly rewarding opportunity for someone looking to learn quickly, develop their expertise, and take the next step in their HR career.
