Associate (Lawyer) – Leveraged Finance / Private Credit

The department
The London Finance team advises lenders, private credit funds, investment banks and financial sponsors across the full spectrum of leveraged finance transactions. The practice has particular expertise in leveraged finance, high yield bonds and private credit, acting on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financings for some of the world's most prominent financial institutions and investment funds.
Lawyers are encouraged to develop experience across multiple financing products, gaining exposure to syndicated lending, high yield debt and private credit transactions, while working alongside specialists in areas including real estate finance and the rapidly growing data centre finance market. Led by recognised market leaders, the London team continues to attract exceptional legal talent as it expands.
The position
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to build their career within one of the most respected lender-side finance practices in the market.
The firm is selectively recruiting Associates across a range of PQE levels, with particular interest in experienced lawyers specialising in private credit and lender-side leveraged finance. Associates will advise on complex, high-value transactions for leading global clients while working closely with an internationally recognised partner group.

Responsibilities
- Advising lenders, private credit funds and financial institutions on a broad range of leveraged finance, syndicated lending and high yield debt transactions.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex finance documentation across a variety of financing products.
- Managing transaction processes from inception through to completion while coordinating with clients, counterparties and international counsel.
- Advising clients on covenant structures and other key commercial provisions across loan and bond transactions.
- Working across domestic and cross-border matters alongside colleagues in the firm's international offices.
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the London Finance practice.
Skills, experience & qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with experience in leveraged finance, banking, private credit or high yield debt.
- Experience acting for lenders, financial institutions or private credit funds would be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills, together with excellent commercial judgement.
- Comfortable managing complex transactions within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.
- Commercially minded, resilient and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
- Admission in England & Wales, New York, Australia, Scotland or Ireland will all be considered.
- Previous London market experience is desirable, although candidates from other international jurisdictions are encouraged to apply.
