How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    No minimum education required

    Job description

    Chief Operating Officer – Scale-Up

A rapidly growing national education group is seeking an exceptional leader to help build the next stage of its business.

This is not a traditional COO role. We're looking for someone who has successfully built, scaled or transformed organisations—someone who combines commercial awareness with the energy to roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

You'll be equally comfortable shaping strategy and delivering it, creating structure without bureaucracy, and leading change in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

    The Opportunity

    • Help shape the next phase of growth across a national education business
    • Build scalable systems, processes and operational capability
    • Develop high-performing teams and a culture of accountability
    • Lead business transformation whilst maintaining exceptional customer experience
    • Work closely with the CEO as a trusted partner in delivering ambitious growth plans

    What You'll Lead

    • Operational leadership across a growing multi-site organisation
    • Business transformation and organisational development
    • Brand, Marketing and Communications
    • Technology, MIS and operational infrastructure
    • Governance, compliance and quality standards
    • Development of scalable operating processes and performance measures

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

    • Built, scaled or transformed a growing organisation
    • Successfully delivered significant organisational change
    • Led multidisciplinary teams through periods of rapid growth
    • Created high-performance cultures with clear accountability
    • A reputation for execution, delivery and making things happen

    Background

We welcome applications from leaders who have gained experience in education, professional services, training, healthcare, hospitality, retail, leisure or other customer-focused multi-site organisations.

We're more interested in what you've built and delivered than the sector you've worked in.
