Principal People are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established Housing Association to recruit a Building Safety Surveyor as part of the continued growth of its Building Compliance team.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety & Building Compliance, you'll help ensure homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained by:
- Leading building compliance activities, with a focus on fire safety, building safety and water safety, while supporting asbestos compliance.
- Managing specialist compliance contractors and building strong relationships with residents and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) through inspections, risk assessment reviews and technical guidance.
- Driving continuous improvement across the Building Safety function and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in building compliance within social housing, local government or a similar property environment.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, with water hygiene and asbestos experience desirable.
- A good understanding of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety legislation and Higher-Risk Buildings.
- Experience managing contractors and delivering compliance programmes.
- A relevant surveying, construction or building maintenance qualification (or equivalent experience).
- A full UK driving licence.
