Tradewind Recruitment is working with a specialist SEN school in Rossendale seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex SEND.
The Role
Provide personal care, mobility, and sensory support for pupils with physical and learning needs.
Work 1:1 or in small groups to promote independence, communication, and wellbeing.
Support therapy programmes and use communication aids such as Makaton or PECS.
Work collaboratively with teachers, healthcare staff, and therapists.
About You
Experience in care, support work, or SEN education (PMLD or complex needs preferred).
Compassionate, reliable, and resilient with a calm, nurturing approach.
Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines (training provided).
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
