How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    On behalf of our client, Royal London. We are looking for a Records Manager for a 6-months (opportunity to go perm) based remotely.

    Purpose of the role:

    The Records Manager will lead and maintain the organisation's records management framework, ensuring physical and electronic records are managed throughout their life-cycle in line with legal, regulatory and business requirements. With a focus on pensions regulation, the role oversees retention, protection, archiving and disposal of pension-related records, while providing expertise in records management, retention schedules, information governance and regulatory compliance, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, Technology and business stakeholders.
    What you'll do:

    Develop and maintain enterprise records management policies, standards, procedures, classification structures, retention schedules and disposal processes.
    Ensure records are managed consistently across physical and digital repositories and lead regular reviews of records management controls and effectiveness.
    Ensure compliance with pensions legislation, regulatory requirements and industry record-keeping standards, including the management of trustee, member, transfer, complaints and scheme records.
    Monitor regulatory developments, assess their impact on records management obligations and support responses to regulatory reviews, audits and information requests.
    Provide guidance on the creation, storage, retention, archiving and destruction of records, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR, Data Protection legislation and information governance requirements.
    Maintain evidence of compliance with regulatory record-keeping obligations and support Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) management and data retention governance.
    Coordinate internal and external audits, monitor adherence to retention schedules and records management controls, and identify and remediate any deficiencies.
    Produce management information and reporting on records management risks, compliance and performance.
    Partner with technology teams to implement records management capabilities across business systems and support electronic document and records management solutions.
    Ensure records are appropriately classified, searchable, retrievable, protected and managed throughout their lifecycle.
    Lead digitisation initiatives to improve digital record-keeping and reduce dependency on legacy paper records.
    Deliver training and awareness programmes on records management responsibilities and provide advice on retention, legal holds and disposal decisions.
    Build effective relationships with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology and Pension Administration teams, acting as the organisation's records management subject matter expert.The skills you'll need:

    Proven records management, information governance and information management experience within regulated sectors, including pensions, life assurance and financial services.
    Strong knowledge of records lifecycle management, retention schedules, document management systems and records platforms.
    Understanding of UK pensions regulations, record-keeping obligations, FCA requirements, Pensions Dashboard requirements, UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
    Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, compliance assessments, governance activities and policy development.
    Skilled in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Purview and electronic records management solutions.
    Experience delivering digital transformation, information governance and records management improvement programmes.
    Strong expertise in compliance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, communication, training and influencing.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, report-writing and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    Degree qualified or equivalent experience; Records Management, Information Governance, IRMS, IGP, CIP, CIPP/E, PRINCE2, Agile or PMP qualifications desirable.Next steps
