How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Analyst to support complex engineering and manufacturing programmes by improving supply chain performance, data visibility and operational efficiency. Working closely with Procurement, Production and Logistics teams, you will analyse performance, optimise planning processes and provide valuable insight to support strategic decision-making and successful project delivery.

    Who Would This Role Suit?
    This role would suit an analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst with experience within manufacturing, engineering or defence environments. The successful candidate will be confident working with large datasets, ERP systems and performance metrics, possess excellent Excel and SAP skills, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance. Experience supporting complex engineering projects, defence programmes or regulated manufacturing environments, together with knowledge of Power BI, Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, would be highly advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities

    Analyse supply chain performance data to identify risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement while supporting production schedules and project delivery.
    Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, reporting on supplier performance, inventory levels, lead times and overall supply chain effectiveness.
    Collaborate with Procurement, Production and Logistics teams to support demand planning, forecasting and material availability.
    Monitor supplier performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and enhancing SAP processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
    Prepare reports and management information to support strategic decision-making while ensuring compliance with business procedures, contractual obligations and industry standards.Requirements:

    Proven experience in Supply Chain or Procurement within Manufacturing or Engineering
    Excellent systems and analytical skills
    Strong Excel and SAP experience
    Degree qualified in relevant discipline
    Location: Manchester
    Permanent
    Salary: £40k - £45k (dependent on experience)
    Full Time: Monday - Friday.
    Benefits: 7% Pension Contributions, 4% from candidate, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
