Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they're looking to recruit an experienced Waterjet / Laser Machine Setter Operator to join their manufacturing team. The Role
As a Waterjet / Laser Machine Setter Operator, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate waterjet and laser cutting machinery.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment including verniers and tape measures.
Identify defects or production issues and report them promptly.
Complete production documentation accurately.
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance checks.
Ensure materials are correctly identified and handled throughout production.
Work to production schedules while meeting quality and output targets.
Maintain high housekeeping standards across the work area.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
Previous experience operating Waterjet, Laser, CNC or similar manufacturing machinery.
Experience setting machines and making routine adjustments.
The ability to read engineering drawings (desirable).
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and tape measures.
Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
A reliable and dependable work ethic.
