How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Location: UK-wide | Hybrid working (travel expenses covered)
Working Pattern: 4 or 5 days per week
Reporting to: Dr Ben Powell, Director of SEND Services
    Role: Educational Psychologist

Panoramic Education Services has specialised in SEN recruitment since 2009. In response to the national shortage of Educational Psychologists, we created our own in-house Educational Psychology service - offering EPs the flexibility, autonomy and variety often associated with locum work, alongside the security and support of permanent employment.

Over the past 18 months, our service has grown to a team of 15 Educational Psychologists and continues to evolve. As part of our next phase of growth, we are expanding and diversifying our professional offer and are now seeking permanent Educational Psychologists to join our National SEND Service.

    Responsibilities:
You’ll contribute your psychological expertise across a varied and engaging portfolio of commissioned work, which may include:

    Consultation and advice
    Direct casework
    Multi-disciplinary and collaborative practice
    Systemic and strategic work
    Research and project-based activity
    Policy development and planning
    Ongoing professional development
    We’re Looking For:

    You’ll have:

Full qualification as an Educational Psychologist and active HCPC registration
The right to work in the UK and a UK-based location
A willingness to travel as part of a hybrid working arrangement
An interest in a permanent role that offers flexibility and autonomy
A passion for professional growth, collaboration and improving outcomes for children and young people
We welcome applications from EPs at all stages of their career, including newly qualified practitioners.

    What We Offer

    Competitive salary
Fully funded CPD and training opportunities
Peer supervision and line management from Dr Ben Powell (ex-Principal EP and former Head of Service at Barnsley MBC and One Education, Manchester)
Private sector benefits, including enhanced annual leave, tech schemes and incentives
A dynamic and varied workload across a range of commissioned projects
Opportunities to contribute to research, service development and innovation
A genuinely supportive team culture with access to a wider EP network
Opportunities to work with local authorities, MATs, special schools, the NHS and international services
If you’d like to find out more, I’d be very happy to arrange a quick, informal chat to talk through how our service works day-to-day and learn more about what you’re looking for in your next role.

If you’re an Educational Psychologist considering your next step, I’d love to share more information.
