How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a Buyer with experience purchasing engineering products, spare parts or technical equipment? Do you want to join a global organisation where you'll work with international suppliers, travel overseas and gain exposure to a wide range of engineering industries?

    This company is a well-established international trading business operating across more than 25 countries. They provide procurement, logistics and supply chain solutions to manufacturing customers across industries including engineering, chemicals, metals and food commodities. They are known for their excellent staff retention, diverse culture and commitment to employee development.

    In this role you will source technical spare parts and assemblies for manufacturing customers across global markets. You will negotiate with international suppliers, prepare quotations, raise purchase orders and have the opportunity to travel overseas to supplier visits and trade fairs.

    This role would suit a Buyer or Procurement professional with experience purchasing technical products or engineering components who is looking for an international role offering variety, training and long term career development.

    The Role

    Procure technical spare parts and engineering products from international suppliers
    Prepare quotations, negotiate supplier agreements and manage purchase orders
    Source products across Europe and the Far East
    Flexible hours with one day working from home after probation
