We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plater to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking to join a busy workshop with regular daytime hours and opportunities for overtime.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble steel components from engineering drawings.
Mark out, cut, shape, and fit metal sections to specification.
Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
Use a variety of fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
Tack weld components where required prior to final welding.
Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards.
Work safely and maintain a clean and organised work area.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet production deadlines.Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Plater or Fabricator within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working with structural steel, plate, or heavy fabrication.
Competent using hand tools, grinders, drills, and fabrication equipment.
Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What's on Offer:
