How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An established precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, is looking for an experienced Export Administrator to join its team.

With a history spanning more than 70 years, the business has built a strong reputation as a dependable UK-based subcontract manufacturing partner, supplying precision-engineered components to customers across the UK and overseas. The company has a friendly, practical working environment where accuracy, reliability and clear communication are valued.

The Export Administrator will be responsible for coordinating international shipments and ensuring all export documentation is accurate and completed correctly. The role will involve preparing commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin, as well as booking and tracking freight with couriers and freight forwarders.

The successful candidate will also ensure export documentation complies with UK customs requirements and international regulations, provide customers with clear delivery updates and deal promptly with any transport delays or customs queries.

Previous experience within shipping, logistics or administration, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment, would be beneficial. Excellent attention to detail is important, particularly when dealing with technical information, drawing references and customs codes. Good communication skills and confidence using standard workplace IT systems, including spreadsheets, are also required.

The role would suit someone who is organised, practical and enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment where getting the details right really matters.
