How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Marketing & Ecommerce Coordinator

    Company: Cello Electronics (UK) Ltd

Location: Bishop Auckland, County Durham (hybrid — Wednesday and Thursday in the office)

    Reports to: Marketing Director

    Contract: Full-time, permanent

    About Cello

Cello is the UK's only remaining LED TV manufacturer, based in Bishop Auckland. We make everything from 12-volt Traveller TVs for caravans and boats to 75-inch home screens and our Voyager range with built-in 5G routers, plus a growing range of small domestic appliances. We sell across the UK and Europe through our Shopify website, retailers like Tesco, Argos, and Richer Sounds, and European marketplaces including OTTO and Kaufland. Family-run with international ambitions.

    The Role

A hands-on role supporting the Marketing Director across ecommerce, marketplace management, social media, and marketing admin. You'll keep our online channels running smoothly, making sure product listings are right, content goes out, and nothing gets missed.

We're open to recent graduates as well as people with experience. What matters is that you're tech savvy, quick to learn, and prepared to get stuck in. We'll train you on our platforms.

    What You'll Do

Shopify — Updating product pages, making sure listings are live and accurate, implementing improvements, checking stock visibility, flagging issues.

Marketplace product data — Populating templates and managing listings across Mirakl platforms like Argos, Tesco, and Obelink, plus standalone platforms like OTTO and Kaufland. Keeping product information complete and correct everywhere.

Social media — Creating and scheduling content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to the Marketing Director's content calendar.

Images and content — Cropping, resizing, and formatting product photography and graphics for different platforms. Basic design work using creative tools and templates.

Reporting — Pulling weekly performance data from Shopify and social platforms into reports.

General admin — Competitor research, pricing checks, ad hoc projects.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

A degree in marketing, digital marketing, business, or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Tech savvy. You pick up new software quickly and don't need to be shown things twice.

Strong attention to detail. Product data has to be right.

Good written English for product descriptions and social posts.

Confident with spreadsheets and product data templates.

Self-starter. Can manage your own workload and doesn't wait to be told what to do next.

    Advantageous

Creative skills — an eye for design, photography, or video content.

Experience with Shopify, Mirakl or Mirakl Connect, or Linnworks.

Familiarity with European marketplaces like OTTO or Kaufland.

    Image editing skills.

Experience with social media scheduling tools.

Interest in harnessing the power of AI.

    What We Offer

A role at the heart of a growing British manufacturer. Hybrid working, full training, real variety, and genuine responsibility from day one. Competitive salary depending on experience.
