What you'll be doing:
Lead, coach and develop the EC&I team to deliver high performance
Manage work allocation, priorities and resource planning
Conduct performance reviews and support recruitment/onboarding
Develop and deliver preventative/predictive maintenance strategies
Lead fault-finding and technical investigations to drive equipment availability
Act as System Custodian for process control systems
Lead EC&I improvement and capital projects (£5k-£250k) from concept to completion
Support annual shutdown planning and long-term asset lifecycle planning
Operate as the site's Electrical Authorised Person
Ensure compliance with COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX and electrical legislation
Prepare RAMS/Permit-to-Work documentation and lead Management of Change activities
Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, safety and efficiency through RCA and data analysis
Provide technical support during breakdowns and coordinate contractor activities
Promote Lean methodologies and CMMS optimisation
What we're looking for:
Essential:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Significant EC&I experience within a COMAH, chemical or heavy process environment.
Strong PLC fault-finding capability (minimum Siemens S7).
Supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience managing contractors and Permit-to-Work systems.
Knowledge of ATEX and DSEAR requirements.
Experience using CMMS systems.
Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
Ability to lead engineering improvements and capital projects.
Desirable
PCS7, Siemens S5 or Allen Bradley experience.
High Voltage Authorised Person experience.
Functional Safety (IEC 61508).
Lean or Continuous Improvement qualifications.
CMI Leadership qualification.
NEBOSH Certificate.
Cyber Security awareness.
