How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager – Water Industry - up to £60,000 – Bridgwater (Hybrid)

    Do you have the experience to take water industry projects from initial scope through to successful completion? Are you a confident Project Manager who can keep programmes, budgets and people moving in the right direction? Or perhaps a Project Engineer looking to progress.

    The role

    This is an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering business with a growing orderbook and a strong reputation across the water industry.

    As Project Manager, you will take ownership of several schemes at different stages of delivery. No two days will be quite the same. One day you may be developing a programme of work, while the next could involve meeting a client, resolving an on-site issue or supporting a Project Engineer.

    You will have the freedom to make decisions, solve problems and shape the successful delivery of each project.

    Key Responsibilities

    Your role will include:

    Defining project scope and preparing estimates
    Developing and maintaining clear programmes of work
    Producing risk assessments and method statements
    Identifying risks early and putting practical solutions in place
    Taking full responsibility for project profit and loss
    Overseeing health and safety across each scheme
    Managing several projects at the same time
    Building trusted, long-term relationships with customers
    Coordinating clients, suppliers and internal project teams
    Mentoring and supporting Project EngineersAbout our company

    You will need at least five years’ experience delivering projects within the water industry. Applications are welcomed from established Project Managers and experienced Project Engineers ready to take the next step.

    Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
    A good understanding of the water industry

    A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving
