The Role
As a Health & Social Care Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, helping students develop a strong understanding of health, social care practices, and the skills required for future study and employment within the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Health & Social Care across KS4 and KS5
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' knowledge and understanding of health, wellbeing, and care provision
Support students in developing the skills needed for further education and careers within the health and social care sector
Prepare students for coursework, assessments, and examinations through effective guidance and support
Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and motivated
Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and enrichment opportunities
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share good practice and improve student outcomes
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Health & Social Care
Experience teaching at secondary level, particularly KS4 and KS5 (desirable)
Ability to deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to supporting students' academic progress and personal development
A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
Suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
