How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2 - Brackley

    Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire
    Start Date: September 2026

    We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Brackley that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working closely with children and is committed to helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

    The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a variety of pupils across Key Stage 2, working with children who have a range of learning, social, emotional, and additional needs. You will play an important role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence, and engage positively with their education.

    Working alongside class teachers, the SENDCo, and the wider school team, you will provide tailored support to meet individual pupil needs while contributing to a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

    The Role

    Provide 1:1 support to a range of Key Stage 2 pupils, adapting your approach to meet individual needs

    Support pupils with their learning, confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing

    Work alongside class teachers to help deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities

    Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum through personalised support and targeted interventions

    Support children with a range of needs, including SEND, communication difficulties, and social or emotional challenges

    Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and self-confidence

    Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel supported and motivated

    Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and families to support pupil progress

    Monitor and share feedback on pupil development and engagement

    Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

    This Role May Suit You If You:

    Enjoy supporting children on an individual basis and helping them achieve their goals

    Are passionate about making a difference to pupils' learning experiences

    Are interested in developing a career within education, teaching, or SEND support

    Have experience working with children who require additional support and encouragement

    Want to gain valuable experience within a Key Stage 2 primary setting

    We Are Looking For Someone Who:

    Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic when supporting children

    Can build positive relationships with pupils of different abilities and backgrounds

    Has excellent communication skills and a supportive approach

    Works well independently and as part of a wider team

    Is adaptable, reliable, and confident responding to different pupil needs

    Has experience working with children through schools, childcare, volunteering, mentoring, coaching, or support roles (desirable but not essential)

    Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
