We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a modern engineering team maintaining a large fleet of PSV vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position offering a competitive salary, excellent shift pattern and long-term career progression.
The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician
As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards. Working within a well-equipped workshop, you'll carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and inspections to minimise vehicle downtime.
Duties of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician
Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
Completing MOT preparation and vehicle inspections.
Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately.
Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA and company standards.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
What we’re looking for from the HGV Technician / PSV Technician
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
