Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of settings, on commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with practical skills in welding, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools to contribute to high-quality service delivery.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as welding apparatus to complete tasks efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Measure and cut pipes accurately using basic maths skills; assemble components with precision.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repairs.
Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems effectively.
Assist with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or modifications where necessary.
Operate commercial driving vehicles for transporting materials or equipment between sites when required.
Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised after completing tasks.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or hazards on site.Qualifications

Proven experience in plumbing work within residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
Proficiency in welding techniques and familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in plumbing tasks.
Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Experience in carpentry or assembly work is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles is preferred but not essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues swiftly.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
