How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Children's Residential Support Worker

    Children's Residential Home | EBD | Full Time

    Salary: £13.50 to £14.50 per hour plus £60 per sleep in
    Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
    Location: Toton, Nottingham

    The Role

    As a Residential Support Worker, you'll be a positive role model for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), helping them navigate everyday life while providing consistency, encouragement and care.

    No two days are the same. From supporting education and daily routines to celebrating milestones and creating memorable experiences, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

    Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll deliver therapeutic, child centred care that promotes stability, resilience and independence.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.

    * Support daily routines, education, appointments and community activities.

    * Encourage independence, confidence and essential life skills.

    * Promote positive behaviour using therapeutic approaches.

    * Complete high quality daily recordings, reports and care documentation.

    * Administer medication where required.

    * Work collaboratively with families, social workers and other professionals.

    * Safeguard children and maintain the highest standards of care at all times.

    * Help young people achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

    * Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

    * Previous experience working within a Children's Residential Home.

    * A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

    * Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

    * A caring, resilient and proactive approach.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.
