How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role
    As the Extra Care Scheme Manager, you will:

    Take full operational responsibility for a well-established Extra Care scheme, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred service delivery.
    Recruit, lead, coach and develop a high-performing care team, creating a positive and supportive culture.
    Drive quality improvement initiatives, audits and continuous service improvement to achieve excellent CQC outcomes.
    Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, governance requirements and company policies.
    Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, occupancy, KPIs and operational performance to deliver outstanding results.
    Build strong relationships with service users, families, commissioners, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
    Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction while maintaining exceptional standards of care.
    Support the continued growth and success of the service through strong leadership and operational excellence.About You
    To be successful, you'll have:

    Experience as a Registered Manager, Care Manager, Service Manager, Deputy Manager or similar leadership role within adult social care, Extra Care, domiciliary care, community care or Supported Living services.
    Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, governance and the statutory framework relating to adult social care.
    Experience managing operational performance, compliance, quality standards, budgets, audits and KPIs.
    A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop successful teams while creating a positive working culture.
    Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
