How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assembly Technician

    Northamptonshire - Commutable from Towcester, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Brackley, Buckingham, Daventry, Rugby, Banbury and surrounding areas

    £27,000 - £30,000 + Flexible Working Hours + Profit Share Bonus + Pension + Training + Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

    Are you a Production Technician, Assembly Technician, Electronics Assembler or Manufacturing Operative looking to join a specialist engineering company where you'll receive full training, work on industry-leading precision instrumentation and have opportunities to develop skills in electronics, PCB repair and mechanical design?

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected manufacturer of precision temperature metrology equipment, recognised for its innovation and engineering excellence. Working within a small, collaborative team, you'll play a key role assembling high-precision products that are supplied to customers worldwide.

    The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include assembling
    mechanical and electronic components, carrying out soldering work, maintaining accurate production records, preparing products for dispatch and working closely with colleagues throughout the production process. You'll also have opportunities to expand your technical knowledge through training in electronics, PCB repair, schematic reading and mechanical design software.

    The ideal candidate will have experience within a production, assembly or manufacturing environment, possess excellent attention to detail and be comfortable carrying out precise, repetitive work. Previous soldering experience is advantageous but full training can be provided for the right individual.

    The Role:

    Assembly of precision mechanical and electronic products
    Soldering and component assembly
    Recording production and test data
    Packing and preparing products for shipment
    Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with flexible working hoursThe Person:

    Experience in production, assembly or manufacturing
    Good attention to detail
    Soldering experience or willingness to learn
    Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and email
