How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Join One of the UK's Leading Specialist Stainless Steel Manufacturers

Workforce is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer with over 100 years of industry expertise supplying high-specification stainless steel products to some of the world's most demanding industries.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business recognised for producing bespoke hygienic stainless steel fabrications and process equipment where quality, precision and craftsmanship are at the heart of everything they do. Their products are used across the pharmaceutical, food, dairy, brewing, beverage and cosmetics sectors, where the highest manufacturing standards are essential.

    Your duties will include:

Fabricating bespoke stainless steel assemblies from engineering drawings
Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and technical specifications
Preparing, fitting and aligning components before welding
    Producing cosmetic-quality hygienic TIG welds
    Operating manual machinery including:

    Centre lathes
    Milling machines
    Pillar drills
    Finishing equipment

Grinding, polishing and finishing stainless steel fabrications
Inspecting completed work using verniers, micrometers and height gauges
Working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
Recording quality documentation and following approved welding procedures
    Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

Minimum 3 years' TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication experience
Strong experience working with 304, 316 & 316L stainless steel
Manual machining experience (turning & milling)
    Ability to read engineering drawings
    Experience working to fine tolerances
    Confident using precision measuring equipment
    Excellent attention to detail
    Pride in producing high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a skilled engineering team

    Highly Desirable

Experience manufacturing hygienic stainless steel equipment
Previous work within pharmaceutical, food processing, dairy or process engineering
    Experience producing cosmetic-quality TIG welds
