How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Streetworks Coordinator | Infrastructure

    Join a Major Infrastructure Contractor with a Strong Future

    Are you an experienced Streetworks Coordinator looking to join a business that's growing, investing and winning major projects?

    We're recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractors - a business with a substantial secured order book and a strong pipeline of work across the water, highways, energy, utilities and built environment sectors. With continued investment, long-term frameworks and ambitious growth plans, there's never been a better time to join.

    This is a hybrid role, with 4 days per week based in the office, so you'll need to live within approximately one hour of the office location to support close collaboration with operational teams.

    If you're looking for stability, career development and the opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects, we'd love to hear from you.

    The Role

    As Streetworks Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with NRSWA legislation. Working closely with project teams, local authorities and utility providers, you'll coordinate permits, programmes and traffic management activities that keep projects moving.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage Streetworks permits from application through to completion using Street Manager.

    * Liaise with Highway Authorities, local councils and operational teams to coordinate planned works.

    * Ensure compliance with NRSWA legislation and minimise the risk of delays, penalties and non-compliance.

    * Coordinate road closures, parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions and other third-party approvals.

    * Manage Section 50 licences, Section 74 charges and Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).

    * Maintain accurate programmes and Streetworks schedules.

    * Produce reports, KPI data and performance updates.

    * Support audits, compliance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

    * Previous Streetworks coordination or permit management experience.

    * Strong knowledge of NRSWA legislation and Streetworks processes.

    * Experience using Street Manager or similar permit management systems.

    * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

    * Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders.

    * Competent with Microsoft Office.

    Desirable

    * Experience working within utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure.

    * Knowledge of traffic management coordination.

    * Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    What's On Offer?

    * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

    * Hybrid working (4 days in the office).

    * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

    * Private medical cover.

    * Life assurance.

    * Employee Assistance Programme.

    * Flexible benefits and salary sacrifice schemes.

    * Ongoing training and genuine career progression.

    * The opportunity to work on long-term infrastructure frameworks with excellent job security.

    Why Join?

    This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a contractor that's experiencing significant growth and has real momentum behind it. With a substantial secured order book spanning multiple infrastructure sectors, you'll be joining a business that can offer long-term stability, varied projects and genuine opportunities to develop your career.

    If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment where your contribution has a direct impact on project success, we'd love to hear from you
