High-End Residential Main Contractor

Our client is an established main contractor delivering exceptional high-end residential projects across London. Every project is different, every client has high expectations, and they need a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being accountable from start to finish.
This isn't a role for someone who waits to be told what to do.
We're looking for a commercially minded QS who knows how to protect margin, build relationships and keep projects moving. Someone who can spot problems before they become expensive, negotiate confidently and genuinely enjoys delivering successful projects.
What you'll be doing

Managing projects from pre-construction through to final account.
*
Full commercial responsibility for your own schemes.
*
Procurement of subcontractors and packages.
*
Cost reporting, forecasting and valuations.
*
Managing variations and contractual issues.
*
Working closely with site teams and clients.
*
Finding opportunities to save money without compromising quality.
*
Driving commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
What we're looking for
*
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
*
High-end residential experience is highly desirable.
*
Comfortable managing your own projects with minimal supervision.
*
Commercially astute—you understand where money is made and where it's lost.
*
Strong negotiation skills.
*
Professional, personable and confident with clients.
*
Organised and proactive.
*
Calm under pressure.
*
Someone who rolls their sleeves up and gets stuck in.
