How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    2x Electrical Maintenance Engineers Required

    Location: Devon (Manufacturing Site)

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-structured engineering team with clear progression opportunities into
    supervisory roles.

    Key Responsibilities

    Respond to electrical breakdowns and carry out effective fault finding
    Perform planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules
    Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives
    Carry out general site maintenance activities
    Work across both Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines
    Maintain and troubleshoot:
    Three-phase electrical systems
    Analogue current loops
    Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    Converting machinery (cutting/sheeting)
    Packaging equipment (wrappers)
    Conveyor systems and processing linesExperience & Qualifications

    Strong background in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
    Mechanical maintenance experience is beneficial
    Knowledge of PLC and/or DCS systems is advantageous but not essentialThe Role

    Monday to Friday, days-based role (08:00 - 16:30)

    Salary - £40,869
    Call-out rota: 1 in 4 weekends
    Reporting into the Electrical Lead within a structured engineering team (Electrical & Mechanical Engineers)Training & Development

    On-site training provided on machinery and systems
