About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to join our growing team, delivering responsive repairs and planned maintenance within the social housing sector.
The successful candidate will carry out high-quality carpentry work while also completing a range of general maintenance tasks to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and ready for tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out all aspects of first and second fix carpentry
Install, repair, and replace doors, frames, skirting, kitchens, locks, flooring, and other timber products
Complete multi-trade repairs including basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering, painting, and minor decorating
Diagnose maintenance issues and carry out effective repairs on occupied and void properties
Deliver excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards
Accurately complete job reports using a mobile device
Requirements:
Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs
Competent in a range of additional trades
Full UK driving licence
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential with proven experience
Ready to make a real difference in people's homes and communities
