How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Turner Setter Operator – Night Shift

    £20.00-£21.00 per hour (including shift allowance) + Profit Share + Pension + Private Healthcare + 4 Nights Monday- Thrusday

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company on a permanent night shift.

    Working within a modern machining environment, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.

    CNC Turner Setter Operator – Night Shift - The Role

    * Setting and operating CNC turning machinery.

    * Making minor programme edits where required.

    * Manufacturing precision components from engineering drawings.

    * Producing small batch and one-off work.

    * Carrying out in-process inspections using a range of measuring equipment.

    * Working closely with production and quality teams to maintain high standards.

    * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.

    CNC Turner Setter Operator – Night Shift - About You

    * Previous experience as a CNC Turner Setter Operator.

    * CNC turning experience is essential.

    * CNC milling experience would be advantageous.

    * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

    * Experience machining to tight tolerances.

    * Comfortable working independently on a permanent night shift.

    What’s on Offer

    * £20.00-£21.00 per hour (including night shift allowance), depending on experience.

    * Permanent night shift: Monday to Thursday, 8:00pm – 6:00am.
