How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager

    Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Projects
    Contract | 3–12 Months

    Site-Based Role – Yorkshire

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes under a long-term regional utility framework in the North of England.

    This role involves managing network-based projects from early definition and design coordination through to construction and handover.

    Schemes will typically include pipeline renewals, network upgrades, and works delivered within live operational environments.

    This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role suited to a Project Manager with strong experience in utility or civil infrastructure projects who is comfortable taking full ownership of programme, commercial performance, risk, and site safety.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects from inception through construction

    * Take accountability for programme, budget control, risk management, and change processes

    * Coordinate internal teams, designers, contractors, and specialist suppliers

    * Oversee site operations and ensure safe, efficient project delivery

    * Drive compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

    * Maintain accurate reporting including progress tracking, forecasting, and risk registers

    * Manage commercial performance including variations and cost control

    * Proactively resolve technical, operational, and delivery challenges

    * Ensure adherence to framework governance and industry regulations

    About You

    * Demonstrable experience delivering water, utilities, or civil engineering infrastructure projects

    * Background in network-based works (pipelines, mains, or buried infrastructure desirable)

    * Experience operating within regulated utility or framework environments

    * Strong understanding of construction methodologies and live site operations

    * Proven track record managing health & safety on complex infrastructure projects

    * Commercial awareness with experience managing costs and change

    * Familiarity with NEC forms of contract advantageous

    * Self-motivated, delivery-driven, and comfortable working across both site and office environments

    Why Apply?

    * Long-term framework with consistent project pipeline

    * High-value regional infrastructure schemes

    * Freelance engagement offering autonomy and responsibility

    * Collaborative, delivery-focused team environment

    * Role centred on project execution rather than business development
