Bookkeeper Opportunity in Keighley
This office-based role is ideal for an organised and proactive Bookkeeper who enjoys managing client relationships and delivering accurate bookkeeping services.
Working closely with senior accountants, you will manage your own portfolio of clients while supporting the wider accounts team with bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation.
Key Responsibilities of Bookkeeper Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing a portfolio of small business clients
* Processing bookkeeping records using Cloud Software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
* Maintaining accurate financial records using cloud accounting software
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Liaising with clients via telephone and email to resolve queries
* Processing accounting entries through to trial balance
* Supporting senior accountants with accounts preparation
* Assisting with the preparation of management accounts where required
* Managing workloads effectively while meeting deadlines
* Providing an accurate, professional and proactive service to clients
Candidate Requirements of Bookkeeper Job
To be considered, candidates should have:
* Previous experience as a Bookkeeper within an accountancy practice
* Strong bookkeeping experience across sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Excellent working knowledge of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
* Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Confidence processing bookkeeping records through to trial balance
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
* A positive, team-focused approach
